Dear Kim,

Thank you so much for the great vacation rental and for taking such good care of us! Especially for making sure we were all right after the earthquake. We feel so lucky that we had such a comfortable place in which to begin our new life in New Zealand. 

The location was one of the best aspects: one block and we were walking along the Avon. What a great way to access the city center without having to worry about parking! We would stroll down the Avon to the botanical gardens and the arts district. And Chester street itself has such lovely character houses. We also enjoyed being so close to PIKO - the best organic health food store in Christchurch.

Thank you also for setting us up with the highchair and crib for the baby - he also really enjoyed the layout of the place- the plush carpets were so gentle on his knees.

In short, Chester street was perfect, it had everything we needed and we didn't want for anything. We have fond memories now of our first month in New Zealand!

Dear Kim, 
I just wanted you to know that my partner and I enjoyed staying in your Charles St flat and found everything to be just as you had advertised.
The one aspect I thought would be a disadvantage, i.e. the location, actually turned out to be its best feature! We never heard traffic noises, even though the flat is close to two major and very busy streets, and it was well located for easy access to anywhere in the city. One evening we decided to go to the movies and were at the cinema in five minutes!

When we had an immediate need to relocate my pregnant daughter to Christchurch during the her last trimester, it was a very stressfultime. I flew from the U.S. and she flew from the West Coast of NZ.

The cottage on Chester Street was JUST what the Doctor ordered. It was sunny and cheerful, centrally located and was the perfect home away from home. Kim and her staff were AWESOME!

It is one thing to provide accommodation for a holiday visit, however, our needs were a bit different. I cannot describe how fabulous the house was and how it met our every need. We took the city bus to appointments, but when the need arose, it was easy to get back home via taxi.

We had to concentrate on cooking healthy meals and resting. We could not have dreamed of a better situation. I am happy to report that our stay was fabulous and the baby arrived ten days late and it was very easy getting around the city and to the hospital from the prime Chester Street location.

We stayed at Kowhai Villa for 1 month whilst working for a major Christchurch company. The apartment was comfortable and felt like a home from home. We traveled with a 7 month old baby and highchair, cot and baby linen were provided (even in baby boy colours!). The apartment is certainly toddler friendly with no stairs, enclosed garden, and children's DVDs. The kitchen was fully stocked and ready for cooking and the light flooded sunroom was great for having breakfast! We especially liked the shower, nothing is better than a decent power shower after a long hard working day. We enjoyed our stay in Christchurch.

"We are a Swiss-Italian family with 3 kids and a baby and we thoroughly enjoyed our two and a half week stay at Kowhai Villa.  We were particularly impressed by the high quality level of the professionally renovated building and all the amenities offered: everything we needed was in place and ready to use - be it telephone, internet, TV, kitchen, laundry and even the very helpful guide book.  It immediately felt like being at home.  What we appreciated even more was the warm hospitality and the availability of Kim - she helped us find other accomodation for the period when Kowhai Villa was not available, and during our stay she was always available to answer to our questions and queries.

Thanks so much. We really enjoyed staying at Kowhai Villa Apartments. Beautifully appointed, all the conveniences we needed, comfortable beds-a cosy haven we really enjoyed.
