Kowhai
Villa
offers two boutique self-catered apartments within a 95yr old home, in a
delightful garden showcasing New Zealand native
plants. Each apartment has been tastefully renovated in a
classic contemporary style, retaining the character of the early
20th century, with the convenience and comfort of today.
New
kitchens incorporate stainless steel appliances, including dishwashers;
heated towel rails, bathroom heaters, fans and gas water
heating ensure the new bathrooms are a pleasure to
use.
Both apartments feature private courtyards with outdoor
furniture which provide relaxing areas to sit in sun or dappled
shade, play petanque, or enjoy a barbeque on one of Christchurch's warm
summer evenings.
Cathedral
Square is an easy 10-15 minute walk, and there are shops and cafes close
by. The villa is located close to central Christchurch, in a quiet street near a park and the
Avon
River. Larger groups
can rent both apartments, in addition to Chester St Cottage one block
away, sleeping a total of 10 guests (one week minimum
applies).
Apartment
A has 2 separate bedrooms, one with a queen slat bed, the other with
twin beds which attach to form a king bed. There is also a
queen-size sofa bed in the living room.
Apartment B has one
king bed, one double sofa bed in the sunroom, and another double sofa bed
in the living area.
All beds and sofa beds have new, plush and
comfortable mattresses. Bed and bath linen is
supplied, along with feather or wool duvets, fluffy pillows, and
reading lamps for the many books and magazines
provided.
We offer family friendly homes and a cot and
highchair are available on request free of
